Would probably be best if you focused on the Moonlit Dungeon modding project, as that is a pretty massive overhaul to the game and I'm pretty sure will be getting into a playable beta state first (whether or not it comes out fully before DD2 does is up to be seen, as mod makers don't operate by hard deadlines and judging how long it will take to finish a game project is actually really difficult for the developers to do).
